Gusano!

Tal cual como sale en Barrapunto.com: ?El temido gusano que se esperaba desde hace tiempo parece que ya est? en marcha. Hace un par de meses, Microsoft anunciaba un fallo muy grave en el RPC (Remote Procedure Call) que permit?a el acceso no autorizado a la m?quina de manera remota al ser explotado. Desde aquel dia, los expertos en seguridad tem?an que alguien liberase un gusano que explotase esta vulnerabilidad y se propagase. Pues bien, desde el lunes 11 ya se est? registrando un aumento considerable de ataque a este fallo. La finalidad del gusano es infectar tantos Windows como pueda, y el dia 16 de agosto, lanzar un ataque DDOS contra la p?gina web de windowsupdate.com?. Para los que ten?is que sufrir d?a a d?a con los productos de Hasecorp, en la citada web del anuncio encontrar?is los parches a este bug y otras medidas recomendables que deb?is tomar.

Para bajar el patch para proteger haz click aqu?.

Bajalo, instalalo y no deberias tener ningun problema, mira que si la computadora comienza a hacer cosas raras como reiniciarse sola cada pocos minutos, esta infectado.

Up again

Saludos, si intentaron acceder a la p?gina entre las 11:00 am y 12:45 pm, aproximadamente, y no pudieron, fue porque hubo un corte del luz y el servidor no volvio a arrancar automaticamente como debiera, al menos el demonio del apache, este corte acabo con mis 22 d?as de uptime todo un logro pero que se hace, bueno ya no fastidio m?s.

Gentoo 1.4

Ya salio a la luz la nueva versi?n de esta magnifica distribuci?n, personalemente la cosidero una de las mejores, y la uso en los dos PCs de mi casa que tienen Linux :-). Un detalle importante es que gracias al sistema de administraci?n de paquetes, no es necesario que tengas exactamente la ultima versi?n ya que puedes haber instalado de uno de los discos anteriores y luego haber compilado e instalado las ultimas versiones de todos los paquetes. Algo nuevo en esta versi?n es el hecho de que ahora se pueden obetener dos CDs, que incluyen una gran cantidad de paquetes precompilados, listos para instlar y as? no tener que bajar absolutamente todo desde intenet, esto es muy ?til para las personas que no disponen de una conexi?n de banda ancha, o simplemente no quieren estar tres dias instalando todo de la manera normal, ?q?e con esto perdemos optimizaciones?, depende de que punto lo mires, porque estan disponibles discos para cada arquitectura,y para cada procesador en especifico, as? en el caso de los x86, tenemos para pII, pIII, pIV, athlon, etc, con lo que cada paquete esta compilado especificamente para una plataforma, obteniendo as? un mejor rendimiento.
